With the blessings of the Most High and your sincere prayers and efforts, Irshad Learning Center has started the basic construction work that is required to obtain an occupancy permit for its property in Naperville and to prepare it as the future home for our community’s activities. In order to complete the construction work, to obtain our “Special Use Permit”, pay property taxes, and to cover maintenance cost, we will need at least $200,000 (including $115K for site and parking preparation, as per court order, $15K for property taxes, and $70K for maintenance and necessary changes inside of the building).
In addition, as you may know, we have a 300K loan on the property which should be paid. We have been in contact with lender’s legal counsel about our obligation. The legal counsel has informed us that the lender requests an immediate payment of $200K. This brings our total cash requirement to at least $400K.
In order to accomplish this goal, we need all community members to participate in a fundraiser event, so that we have enough cash to complete the construction work. Given our absolute reliance on the community, we are inviting every one of you to become partner in this blessed opportunity and to have a permanent place for our community. We owe it to ourselves, our children, our youth, and future generations to have a place that they can call home (or our center) where they can commemorate and learn the lofty values and virtues of greatest religion.
Please spread the word and encourage as many people as possible to participate in this community building effort, and please contact us with any question that you might have. Please note that your donation is tax deductible under 501(c)(3).
